  2.               Yaesu FT-530
  3. Expanded Receive only 110-180, 300-500 MHZ
  4. (Transmit Frequencies remain stock)
  5.  
  6. - Remove Antenna and Battery.
  7. - Remove four screws on bottom holding battery track.
  8. - Remove the four (black) screws holding rear case.
  9. - Slowly....open the front cover from transceiver and lay both halves on table.
  10. - Note positioning of white paper insulator in right half of radio and lift out (don't throw away).
  11. - Carefully locate JUMPER PADS 13 & 15, and REMOVE SOLDER.
  12. - Re-install white paper insulator, make sure the ground tab slides through the paper insulator.
  13. - Close radio back up (Careful not to pinch the ribbon cable near lithium battery when closing case 
  14. halves).
  15. - Re-install the four (black) screws holding rear case.
  16. - Re-install four (small silver) screws on bottom holding battery track to radio body.
  17. - Attach Antenna and Battery.
  18. - TURN OFF RADIO.... PRESS AND HOLD BOTH ARROW KEYS WHILE TURNING ON THE RADIO.
  19. - Modification complete !
